 Today was a AWESOME day!!! In social studies we learned about the settlement in Marietta, Cincinnati and Cleveland. We didn't do math instead we met a ranger, ranger Tom and we learned all about really COOL stuff. In word study we did prove-it. In writer's work shop we did free writing. Then we went to our buddies to read books to them(for our fluency).

Today was a good day. We didn't do the blog yesterday so here's a little ketchup:)! In math we added and subtracted fractions. In writing we had free writing. Today in math we played fraction blackjack . Today in writing had free writing again. Today was Jake's birthday!!!!!!

Today was a awesome day! In math we got to make fractions on an apple pie (so good). Today in writing we finished our Dear Soldier letters.  We also got popcorn and a movie for our Cub Card Party! Happy Thanksgiving!

Today we ate cornbread with our 1st grade buddies (yum yum).  In science some people shared their informational reports. In math we practiced multiplication facts. Today we didn't do word study because there is NO school on Wed. Thurs. and Fri.We also wrote a letter to a soldier.

Today was an average day. In Writing we are finishing up on our Informational reports on Earths processes. In social studies we did what if again.  TODAY WAS P. J DAY!!!!!!!!!!TGIF!!! ( Thank goodness it's FRIDAY!!! ) Today we got our progress reports; ) : ) In Math we continued fractions.

Today was a good day. In Social Studies we did a what if where we could write a story, write a play, or sing a song about what life would be like if the Native Americans won the war.  In Math we did more fractions like covering up shapes with pattern blocks and writing the fractions in the math journal. Today we did Social Studies. In Social Studies we learned about the French-Indian war where the Indians joined the French. We had Music. In Music we practiced orff. Orff is a wooden barred instrument. In Math we did more fractions and played a fun game. In word study we did prove it. Prove it is where we find words fit the generalization and write them down. In writers work shop we did research. In readers work shop guess what we...                READ!!!!!!

 Today was a normal day except for all of the talking. In Science we did Before and After pictures of natural disasters. We also looked at very depressing pictures of what disasters they caused for  all of those sad people. In Math we did fractions. Don't forget your confrances  tonight.

   T.G.I.F,T.G.I.F( Thank Goodness It's Friday)! Thank someone that you know in the armed forces today. In reader's workshop we are close to finishing Nightmare At The Book Fair. In word study we played fun games like scrabble flash.Tonight is movie night at A.D.E. we are watching CARS 2 AT six-thirty.

Today in science we messed around with chalk and vinegar (that was fun/gross).In math people brought  fractions from their house.In word study we wrote a story or we drew illustration with our words.Sean, Brianna  and Benjamin are in the ADE school news crew for this month. Congrats!

Today in math we are starting fractions with pretzels.In word study we worked on prove-it by finding plural words. Today we worked on our T.F.K (time for kids).We had MR. Hennes do our number-talk today( that was fun)! We are reading  The beaded moccasins the story of Mary Campbell.

   We didn't type the blog yesterday so here's a little "ketchup". In math we took our decimals test.In word study we got new words.We worked on our research about Earth's processes.Today we took a fractions pre -test. Today we voted for buckeye book award and kids Hillard voting. In word study we sorted our words. In reader's workshop we are in the middle of Nightmare at the book fair.
